Biggest Owl in the world? Well scientists can’t quite settle on one answer, so it comes down to two different species. First is the Blakiston’s Fish Owl, native to the colder regions of South East Asia, the species is sadly in low number and dependent on conservation strategies in the wild.
But much closer to home the species that comes in to take joint first place is the European Eagle Owl! These guys have a wingspan of over 6 feet and can weigh an excess of four kilos! Woah!
You can now meet our very own European Eagle Owl Arwen in our 3:30pm feeding experience – where you can give her her afternoon meal and learn all about the species in the wild.
