Bird Team Volunteer
Join our wonderful Bird Team to provide care for some of the birds here at the centre, and help keep their home in top tip condition.
Whilst a lot of the job includes cleaning here there and everywhere, we’ll also give you the opportunity to work face to face with the birds. All of our current employed team started as volunteers and many others have gone on to further their career in conservation and aviculture.
As part of being a volunteer, you’ll also be able to follow our continued professional development programme, and join in for our annual training days.
Vacancies are available throughout the week with the exception of Saturday, 9am – 4pm one day a week.

Visitor Greeting Volunteer
Help us welcome our visitors to the centre with a smile, hand out children’s trails, help visitors find their way around the centre, keep our front of house looking tidy, meet new people and enjoy being part of a fun-loving team!
Vacancies are available Wednesday to Sunday, 9:45am – 3:30pm one day a week.

Data Entry Volunteer
Inputting data into easy-to-use spreadsheets for centre visitors, bird health and conservation records, and developing new ideas for modern data recording.
Experience and confidence using excel spreadsheets is ideal, but training can be provided. 2-4 hours a month, role can be remote.

Maintenance Volunteer
Can you spare some of your free time to support some practical maintenance work around the centre? Work within a fun, friendly team to help us keep the facilities for the centre, our birds and conservation projects in good order. Tasks may include building fences, new aviaries, building nest boxes or re-furbishing equipment.
Some experience in general DIY and using tools is ideal. Hours can be discussed to suit you, either regular or flexible.
