One hour, one hawk, and you. Oh, and one of The Bird of Prey Project team guiding you through the unforgettable experience of flying a trained Harris Hawk through the open sky, and giving you an insight into the lives of these amazing birds in the wild.
The Bird of Prey Project is a registered UK charity (1152982), funded by our multiple award winning visitor attraction in Bath, Somerset. By booking a Hawk Walk, you are directly supporting the work of a charity. In fact, one Hawk Walk pays for one nest box to be built for local populations amber listed species as part of our cavity nesting species programme. You can learn more about our work as a charity, here.
Starting at £65, suitable for all ages 6+ and running 7 days a week, you can spend an hour with Charlie, our resident and much loved Harris Hawk. Join us for a stunning walk through the open countryside around the Newton Park Estate, whilst Charlie stoops and soars overhead, occasionally perching in the trees just feet above you. Once you have arrived out in the field, your guide will give you a quick update on how to stand safely, and call Charlie to you. Then sit back, relax and enjoy the thrill of a 4 foot wingspan softly landing and alighting on your gloved hand whilst you feed his well deserved dinner.

You can find out more, or book a Hawk Walk for yourself, or even give one as a gift here.
Supporting the right organisation and the right animal welfare is key. The Bird of Prey Project is a DEFRA accredited, licensed and inspected facility with high commendments on welfare. Just over 40% of our resident birds have been re-homed from poor conditions.
